Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• What you type into the quotation form: your name, company name if you give one, email address, phone number if you give one, and your shipping address including country.
• Your quotations and orders: the items, quantities, prices, dates and payment status.
• Messages you send us, and notes our staff make about your order.
• Technical records kept by our server: IP address, browser type and the time of each request, and a session cookie that remembers your basket and your choice of language.

We never receive your card number. Card details are entered on the payment provider's own page and are never sent to this site or stored by us.

We use no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics on this site. The only cookies are the ones needed for the basket, the language switch and security.

2. Why we use it

• To prepare, send and manage your quotation.
• To take payment and to ship your order, including the customs paperwork that export requires.
• To answer your questions and handle any problem with an order.
• To keep the accounting and trading records that Japanese law requires us to keep.
• To detect and prevent fraud and abuse of this site.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell or rent them.

3. Who else sees it

Only the parties needed to complete your order, and only the part each of them needs:

• Our payment provider, which receives your name, email address and the amount, and handles the card details itself.
• The shipping carrier and the customs authorities of Japan and of your country, which receive your name, address, phone number and a description of the contents.
• Our email provider and our server hosting provider, which process the data on our instructions only.
• A public authority or court, where the law requires us to disclose.

Because we ship internationally, these parties may be outside Japan, and your details will be transferred to the destination country to deliver your order. We use providers that apply protection equivalent to the Japanese standard.

4. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that never become an order: deleted within one year.
• Orders and their invoices: kept for seven years from the end of the accounting period, as Japanese tax law requires.
• Server access logs: kept for 90 days, then deleted.

5. How we protect it

• This site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
• Only named staff can reach the admin screens, each with their own account.
• Your quotation page is reachable only through a private link containing a random token. It is not indexed and cannot be guessed.

6. Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to stop using it, or to delete it. Email us and we will reply within two weeks. We may ask a question or two to confirm it is really you before we act.

Records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices for tax, cannot be deleted before their retention period ends. We will tell you if that applies to your request.

7. Children

This site is intended for business and adult buyers. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian place the order.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be sent to customers with an order in progress.
